Patriarch Irinej meets with Ambassador of France

His Holiness Irinej Serbian Patriarch recieved of July 6, 2011 the Ambassador of France in Serbia, Mr. Francois-Xavier Deniau. On this occasion the Ambassador of France presented a position of this country regarding the monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo and Metohija. He reminded that France never requested that the Serbian heritage in Kosovo and Metohija rename to Kosovo heritage and that it never questions the Serbian identity of this monasteries and that they belong to the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Patriarch Irinej with a delight receievd these explanations and reminded of the significance of this heritage for the national identity of the Serbs.
