Patriarch Irinej opened closing exhibition of the works of students of the Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church

His Holiness Irinej Serbian Patriarch opened last night a traditional annual exhibition of the works of the student of the High School - Academy of the Serbian Orthodox  Church for arts and conservation, in the presence of His Grace Bishop Atanasije of Hvosno, in the atelier of the Academy. The opening was attended by Mr. Dragan Cvorovic, state secretary at the Ministry of Faith and Diaspora, representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Education, professors from other arts academies in Belgrade, students and others.

At the beginning of this spiritual event, protopresbyter-staurophor Dr Radomir Popovic, dean of the Academy, thanked the Patriarch for being here to crown this year's effort of the professors and students at the Academy of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Patriarch pointed out the significance of this higher educational church institution which was accredited by the MInistry of Education in 2008 and wished all the students and professors to be good workers on the field of the Lord.

After the formal opening Serbian Patriarch Irinej, along with dean of the Academy and other guests, viewed all exhibits and visited all workshops on the Academy.  

The exhibition will last until June 10, 2011.
