Patriarch Kirill congratulates Metropolitan Jonah of All America and Canada on the first anniversary of his enthronement

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia in his message to His Beatitude Metropolitan Jonah of All America and Canada congratulated him on the anniversary of his enthronement. Below is the text of the message:

Your Beatitude,

Dear Brother and Concelebrant beloved in the Lord:

I cordially greet Your Holiness and wholeheartedly congratulate you on the first anniversary of your enthronement.

I am gratified to note that for the last year, traditionally close relations between our two Churches have developed successfully, as evidenced by the fact that already twice we have had an opportunity for brotherly talks during your visits to the Russian Orthodox Church.

I wish Your Beatitude and your God-saved flock peace, prosperity, spiritual growth and beneficial strength from our Lord Jesus Christ,
