Patriarch Porfirije: We are made for love and eternity
His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the crypt of the Saint Sava Cathedral in Belgrade on the feast of Annunciation, 7 April 2021.
The Patriarch was concelebrated by Bishop Stefan (Saric) of Remesiana, abbot of the New Gracanica Monastery near Chicago Archimandrite Seraphim (Baltic), Archimandrit Justin (Jeremic) from Paris, protopresbyter-staurophor Radivoj Panic, archpriest Sava (Bundalo) and deacon Radomir Vrucinic.
At the end of the Holy Liturgy, the Patriarch addressed the faithful with a lesson regarding the current epidemiological situation. He said that we should act according to the example of the Most Holy Mother of God, not to be stubborn, because if it were not for Her, there would be no Church among us: - She built trust in God into the foundations of the Church, but also appeasement, the Patriarch pointed out and reminded of the words of the Holy Apostle Paul that we all think the same, and then clarified that it does not mean without will and without freedom, but to be transformed so that Christ is our mind.
The service was attended by the director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities, Dr. Vladimir Roganovic, and the Assistant Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities, Dr. Marko Nikolic.
