The Patriarch receives Ambassadors of Serbia, Marocco and Kongo
On July 1, 2021, at the Patriarchal Palace in Belgrade, His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch received the newly appointed ambassadors of the Republic of Serbia to the Syrian Arab Republic, Mr. Radovan Stojanovic; to the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Ivan Bauer; and to the Democratic Republic of Congo Professor Miroljub Jevtic.
Serbian Patriarch Porfirije during the audience talked with the newly appointed ambassadors of the Republic of Serbia to Syria, Morocco and Congo about deepening cooperation between states, peoples, churches and religious communities at all levels, considering that the Serbian Orthodox Church nurtures a centuries-old tradition of open and sincere interfaith dialogue.
The three Serbian ambassadors thanked for the part to be received by the Serbian Patriarch and members of the Holy Synod of Bishops, as well as for very useful advice that will serve them in the diplomatic mission for the benefit of all citizens of the Republic of Serbia.
The reception was attended by Bishop Irinej of Backa, Bishop Fotije of Zvornik and Tuzla , Bishop David of Krusevac , Retired Bishop Georgije of Canada and the head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch, deacon Aleksandar Prascevic.
