Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem arrives in Moscow to take part in the celebrations marking the centenary of restoration of Patriarchate in the Russian Orthodox Church

On 30 November 2017, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine arrived at the Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport. The Primate of the Church of Jerusalem came to Russia at the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia to attend the celebrations marking the centenary of the restoration of Patriarchate in the Russian Orthodox Church. Among those who met the high guest at the airport were Metropolitan Feodosy of Tambov and Rasskazovo, Bishop Tikhon of Podolsk, and Hegumen Feofan (Lukyanov), head of the Protocol Sector of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations.

His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos ia accompanied on his visit by Archbishop Aristarchos of Constantina, Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem; Archbishop Theophylaktos of Jordan; Archimandrite Stephan (Dispirakis), representative of the Patriarch of Jerusalem to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia; and Archdeacon Mark (Henderson).
