Patriarch visited the Serbian school in Budapest
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, visited the Serbian Primary and the High school “Nikola Tesla” in Budapest on 27 May 2019.
His Holiness was greeted by pupils, teachers, professors and the principal of the school, Professor Dr. Jovanka Lastic, who made the Patriarch known with the circumstances in which the school functions and its curriculum. The Patriarch talked to pupils about the significance of education and preservation of the Serbian identity.
Patriarch Irinej praised the educational board of the school and thanked the teachers, professors as well as the students who, while remembering their glorious ancestors who were inspired by the spirit of Saint Sava, are representing the Serbian people in the best possible way nowadays.
The Patriarch visited also the kindergarten, where he met the youngest inmates of this institution, and then talked with older students of the Primary school and the High school.
By visiting this Serbian Primary and High school “Nikola Tesla” Patriarch Irinej completed his patriarchal visitation to the Diocese of Buda (Budapest), Hungary.
