Patron saint-day of the church of Saint Demetrius in New Belgrade

On the occasion of the church Patron Saint-day, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of Saint Demetrius the Myrrh-gusher in New Belgrade on 8 November 2016.

The festal gathering commenced with a solemn welcome of His Holiness Patriarch at entrance to the churchyard of the New Belgrade’s church. The Serbian Patriarch was welcomed by the principal of the Saint Demetrius church protopresbyter-stavrophor Rajko Nedic, clergy and pious people, representatives of the Jugoimport SDPR company.

Eight priests and four deacons concelebrated to the Serbian Patriarch.

At the end of the Liturgy, the Patriarch cut the slava bread with some  representatives of the company Jugoimport SDPR.

Director of the Bureau for cooperation with Churches and religious communities Dr. Mileta Radojevic was present too.
