Patron Saint-day of the First Belgrade Choral Ensemble Society
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, officiated on the feast-day of Saint Basil the Great the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy at the Cathedral church of Holy Archangel Michael in Belgrade.
His Holiness Irinej performed the rite of blessing the slava cake of the First Belgrade Choral Ensemble, the oldest choral institution in Serbia, which just marks 165th anniversary of its existence.
The Patriarch was concelebrated by the principal of the Saint Sava Cathedral in Belgrade Archimandrite Stefan, guests from the Greek city of Patra Archimandrite Gervasios and protopresbyter- stavrophor Ermolaos, protopresbyter-stavrophor Miroljub Todorovic, protopresbyter Mihailo Cikvin from Poland, presbyter Slavisa Popovic and protodeacons Radomir Percevic and Damjan Bozic.
