Patron Saint-Day of the Monastery of Holy Archangel Michael in Kovilj

The Thronal Feast of the monastery of Kovilj - Synaxis of the Archangel Michael and the Other Bodiless Powers was celebrated with the solemn liturgical gathering on Friday, 21 November 2014. 

His Eminence Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana officiated the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy with the concelebration of Bishop Irinej of Novi Sad and Backa, hieromonk Isihije, Archimandrite Danilo (Ljubotina), brotherhood of the monastery of Kovilj and deacons of Novi Sad. The monks of the Kovilj Monastery sang responses along with students of the church singing school, led by archdeacon Jerotej. 

After blessing the slava cake and wheat, Bishop Irinej addressed the present and congratuled the Patron Saint-day to Metropolitan Porfirije, as the head and the spiritual father of the monastery; then father Isihije, deputy; brotherhood of the monastery of Kovilj, as well as to all celebrants.
