Patron Saint's Day of Banjska Monastery

In the Banjska monastery the monastery slava was solemnly celebrated - the transfer of the relics of Saint Great Martyr and Archdeacon Stefan. The Divine Liturgy was served by His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and Kosovo-Metohija with the concelebration of twenty priests: protopresbyter-staurophors Radivoje Panic and Miljko Koricanin from Belgrade, heugomen and hieromonks of Kosovo-metohija's and Raska's monasteris as well as priests of the regencies of Mitrovica and Novipazar.

Also this year in this ancient holy place a faithful people from various parts of Serbia gathered. After the Divine Liturgy bishop Teodosije spoke on St. Great Martyr and Archideacon Stefan who with his own blood witnessed the faith in Christ as well as on the significance of the Banjska monastery.

After the solemn feast day procession Bishop Teodosije blessed and cut slava cakes, of the monastery and the municipality.
