Patron Saint's Day in Mostar

The feast day of Pentecost (The Descent of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples ), which is the Patron Saint's Day of our Cathedral church which is being renovated,  was solemnly celebrated in Mostar. The Holy Hierarchal Liturgy was served by Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje-Herzegovina and the Littoral with the concelebration of nine priests and four deacons from our Diocese and our dear guests from Belgrade and Novi Sad.

The church's Patron Saint's Day also this year was celebrated outdoors, but between the walls that advance, which represent a great hope of the Orthodox faithful in Mostar and the Neretva valley.

The arrival of the guests made a great joy and love for us. Among many, we especially single out: mufti of Mostar Seid em Smajkic and the main imam of Mostar Salem ef Dedovic with whom also came rectors and some ot the deans of the Universities of Sarajevo, Mostar, Tuzla and Bihac, Mostar's guardian fra Ika Skoka, Minister of Commerce in the Council of the Ministers of BiH Mr Mladen Zirojevic, the director of the Elektroprivreda of the Republic of Srpska Mrs. Branislava Milekic, state secretary in the BiH Ministry for refugees Mr. Drago Kovac, the mayor of Trebinje Mr. Dobrosav Cuk and many others.
