Presanctified Liturgy in Hermitage, PA

With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Irinej, Bishop of the Eastern America, the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts was served on Wednesday during the sixth week of Great Lent at St. George Church in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.

The Very Rev. Protopresbyter Milan Pajic, pastor of St. Archangel Michael in Akron, Ohio, presided at the Holy Liturgy. Present for service and fellowship were the Reverend Presbyter Dragan Goronjić, Dean of the Cleveland Deanery, the Reverend Presbeter Vedran Grabić, the host-priest from Hermitage, and faithful, local Orthodox Christians.

All those who participate in these prayerful services contribute to an atmosphere of "joyous sorrow", as the Holy Fathers of the church describe. The penitent mood permeates these solemn services, and prepares the faithful to welcome the most joyous and holiest of Christian holiday - Pascha.
