President Tadic visits monastery Dechani

President of Serbia Boris Tadic has sent today the Easter message of peace from a monastery of Visoki Dechani. - Without peace we cannot secure decent life, without trust in peace we cannot live normally, sent a message president Tadic. President visited Dechani, in spite of an opposition of the so-called "Kosovo government". President Tadic extended his congratulations to the head of the SOC His Holiness Patriarch Pavle of Serbia, church dignitaries, priesthood and all citizens the forthcoming holiday of the Ressurection of Our Lord.

President of Serbia Boris Tadic in monastery of Visoki Dechani has sent a Paschal message of peace to all the orthodox believers and to all who live in Kosovo and Metohija, regardless of their faith.

Minister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanovic also visited along with President Tadic Monastery of Visoki Dechani.

His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Lipljan, heugomen of the monastery received Tadic. President after that did the reverence to the holy relics of St. Stefan of Dechani, a medieval Serbian monarch who was the endower of the monastery, built between 1327-1335. On the occasion of the Great Friday President Tadic and minister Bogdanovic will together with the brotherhood of the monastery of Dechani take part in a rite of the placing Epitaphios.
