Primate of the Orthodox Church of Czech Lands and Slovakia sent a letter to Serbian Patriarch regarding the suffering of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija

Your Holiness, we received Your letter and we have read it with brotherly love and attention and informed about it the Holy Synod of Our Orthodox Church of Czech Lands and Slovakia, our faithful and our public. All of us are well aware of the suffering of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija  by the Albanians and unprecedented destruction of Orthodox sacred places in that holy Serbian land.

Therefore, we constantly pray the God for the suffering Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija and for Your Holy Church to persevere in those area and preserve its Orthodox faith, as it preserved in many and various difficulties throughout the centuries.

Also, we listen to misfortunes that have befallen to the Serbian people in the north of Kosovo recently. We fervently pray to God to grant them consolation and strength that in this, another, distress withstand and survive in their homes in these centuries-old Serbian territories.

We will try about all that you reported to us in your letter, inform not only our church but also the general public, as well as representatives of the state authorities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

On behalf of the Holy Synod and Our Church we express deep and sincere love in Christ, to You Your Holiness, to the whole Serbian Orthodox Church and the pious people with a wish and faith in God to persevere also in these temptations.
