  • Do our prayers go beyond making requests to God?
  • Is continuous thankfulness to God regularly a part of our prayers?
  • Do we live in ways rejecting sinful thoughts and practices?
  • Is right living a primary goal of life?
  • Do we welcome the fasts of the Church as beneficial for personal life?
  • Do we believe parishes improve when widespread fasting occurs?
  • Do we believe fasting can lead to community improvement?
  • Do we focus on our own sinfulness and not the sins of others?
  • Do we recognize the personal need for God in combating sin?
  • Do our hearts welcome Christ and radiate with Christ’s joy?
  • Do we approach our Christian lives with great seriousness?
  • Is care taken regarding the content of the heart and mind?
  • Are we vigilant regarding what is permitted in the heart and mind?
  • Do we expel thoughts and inclinations that put the soul in peril?
  • Are efforts regularly taken to nourish the soul?
  • Do we read and pray for the benefit of the soul?
  • Are we attentive to the impact food has on our life Christ?
  • Do we desire complete unity with Christ?
  • Do we seek to shed that which is not of Christ in our lives?
  • Is Christ the foundation, strength and goal of our lives?
  • Do we place full confidence in Christ and the life in Christ?
  • Do we look to Christ for strengthening of personal faith?
  • Do we realize the need for Christ in daily life?
  • How often throughout the day do we give thanks for Christ in our life?
