Restoration of Hilandar continues

Minister of Culture, Media and Information Service Predrag Markovic today  visits  the Hilandar, where he will inform the head of the monastery that the Ministry  collected additional 15 million dinars for the restoration of the Grand quarters.

The Ministry during 2011 already helped the endowement of the monastery of Hilandar with 60 million dinars intended for the restoration of parts of the monastery which are mostly damaged in the fire.

Minister Markovic used an opportunity to help along with Ambassador of Serbia in Greece Dragan Zupanjevc, and the mayor of Kragujevac, Veroljub Stevanovic the fraternity of the monastery, workers in the economy and other volunteers in the grape harvesting in the vineyards of Hilandar. 

Three years ago, in the Hilandar, at Sava's field where once was a vineyard, a new vineyard was made, 15 ha wide, where  are coils of the best varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Fran were planted.
