The Romanian Orthodox Church contributes to the restoration of schools
Considering there are many schools in Romania in urgent need for help in order to be restored and equipped, so as to properly carry out class hours, the Romanian Orthodox Church engages in solving this difficult situation.
Thus, at the proposal of His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel, the Standing Church National Council, during its session held Thursday, 15 September 2016, recommended to all dioceses of the Romanian Patriarchate to contribute concretely, through deaneries, parishes and monasteries, and in cooperation with local city halls and school inspectorates, by providing building materials, volunteer work and financial aid in order to renovate and equip the schools that cannot currently function properly.
The Romanian Patriarchate will be informed regularly by the diocesan centres about the pace and nature of the support offered to these schools.
The Romanian Orthodox Church will continue to contribute, according to her possibilities, in order to solve the problems that the Romanian School faces today.
