Russian ambassador in Syria visits Russian Orthodox Church representation in Damascus
January 26, 2018, the commemoration day of St. Jacob the Bishop of Nisibis, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the church of the Russian Orthodox Church’s Damascus representation. It was presided over by Hegumen Arseniy (Sokolov), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia to the Patriarch of Great Antioch and All the East.
Praying together of the parishioners of the church were Russian ambassador in Syria A. Kinschak and staff members of the Russian embassy in the country.
After the service Mr. Kinschak greeted Father Arseniy on the occasion of this 50th birthday and wished him successes in his further work to restore the work of the Damascus representation of the Russian Orthodox Church. Ms. Z. Kolpakova greeted the Patriarchal representative on behalf of the parishioners of the church, the site of the ROC representation to the Orthodox Church of Antioch reports.
