Saint Peter's Day in the monastery of Ribnica

Bishop Milutin of Valjevo served the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy on the feast of St. Peter in the monastery of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Ribnica near Mionica. The head of the Ribnica monastery, abbot Nikodim (Bogosavljevic), archimandrite Danilo (Jokic), protodeacon Pribislav Simic (retired professor of the Faculty of Theology in Belgrade) and the priesthood of the Episcopal Deanery of Kolubara concelebrated.

We remind that it has been a century since the last celebration of the monastery slava in Ribnica. More than a century the church of Holy Apostles Peter and Paul was parish church, until the end of 2011, when Bishop Milutin brought the decision to declare this Ribnica church a monastery, and that was approved by the Holy Synod of the SOC.  Today's slava is a new beginning of the monastic life, and abbot Nikodim is in charge of  the order and the rule.
