The Saint Sava Academy in Nis was held with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Nis in the Great Hall of the Military Headquarters on 26 January 2019, under the auspices of the City of Nis, and in the organization of the Church-school Community of Nis, the Nis church choir “Branko” and in the cooperation with the Serbian Army Command of the Republic of Serbia.

The Academy was solemnly opened by the anthem to St. Sava performed by the Nis church choir “Branko” and the orchestra of the Armed Forces in presence of His Grace Bishop of Nis, high representatives of city authorities and local government, officers of the Army, clergy, cultural, educational and political organizations and citizens of Nis and from surroundings. The participants of the festive program there were Church Singing Band "Branko" with conductor Mrs. Sara Cincarevic, Children youth church choir "Branko", Children folklore section and Folklore dancing church ensamble "Branko", as well as cultural art society "Oro.
