Saint Sava Cathedral receives The Lucy G. Moses Award from The NY Landmarks Conservancy

For the past 31 years, the New York Landmarks Conservancy presents the Lucy G. Moses "Preservation Award" to approximately 10-12 projects in the five boroughs of New York City that demonstrated excellence in the restoration, preservation, or adaptive use of historic buildings, streetscapes, and landscapes that preserve commercial, residential, institutional, religious, and public buildings. For the year 2020, the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Sava was one of twelve honored with this award.

The award was presented (via Zoom) on May 6, 2021, to His Grace, Bishop Irinej. 

The President of the NY Landmarks Conservancy, Peg Breen stated, "Saint Sava is being recognized for the first phase of this project, (Enclosure and Stabilization). The Conservancy has a long history with Saint Sava and we look forward to its complete renewal."
