Seminar on Holocaust held in Novi Sad

On Tuesday, December 14, 2010, a second seminar on the Holocaust was held in the great hall of the provincial assembly in Novi Sad, organized by the Jewish Community of Novi Sad and the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Jerusalem.

Many teachers, religious teachers, professors of history, literature and philosophy, as well as students participated in the seminar.

The seminar was opened by its patron, the president of the Autonomous Assembly of the Province of Vojvodina, Mr. Sándor Egeresi. 

After the welcoming words that Dr. Ana Frenkel, on behalf of the organizers, told to the presen, Israeli Ambassador to Serbia, His Excellency Arthur Koll gave a lecture on the topic Is the teaching of the Holocaust still relevant?

The morning part of the seminar ended with a lecture of His Grace Bishop Dr. Irinej of Backa on the Holocaust from the perspective of the Orthodox Church.
