Before maybe Perhaps before the decisive game for the placement on the European Championship against Italy's national team, the Serbian football team visited the St. Archangels Monastery of Kovilj in the Diocese of Backa.

The best football playes of Serbia, led by the selector Vladimir Petrovic Pizon and the  team captain Dejan Stankovic, were welcomed by the monastery brotherhood led by His Grace Bishop Dr Porfirije of Jegar.

Prayed to the God that Stankovic, Subotic, Vilotic, Kolarov, Fejsa and other  Eagles represent their country with dignity and succesfully not only on the Belgrade's Marakana football field on Friday but also on other fields worldwide, Bishop Porfirije and the Kovilj fraternity hosted our national team players who, now traditionally before the matches that play in Serbia, go to this holy place to receive the blessing and spiritual stimulus for new victories.
