Celebration of the feast day of the Dedication of the Church of the Holy Greatmartyr George - the Patron Saint-day of the City of Novi Sad

On 3/16 November 2021, on the feast day of the Dedication of the Church of the Holy Greatmartyr George, His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch, celebrated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the Novi Sad’s Cathedral church, on the occasion of the Patron Saint-day of the City of Novi Sad.

His Holiness Patriarch was assisted by Their Graces Bishops: Irinej of Backa, Fotije of Zvornik and Tuzla, David of Krusevac, Heruvim of Osek-Polje and Baranja, Isihije of Valjevo, Jerotej of Toplica and Damaskin of Mohács, as well as priests and deacons from several dioceses of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Pan-Orthodox Liturgy honors centennal of the first Serbian Orthodox Diocese in North America

On Sunday, November 7, 2021, the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Pittsburgh had the honor bestowed upon them to host the Pan-Orthodox Hierarchical Liturgy honoring the Centennial of the founding of the first Serbian Orthodox Diocese in the United States and Canada.

The Holy and Divine Hierarchical Liturgy was celebrated by His Eminence Metropolitan Savas of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh, together with our Father and Hierarch, Bishop Irinej of the Eastern American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Bishop Saba of the Georgian Apostolic Orthodox Church in North America, His Eminence Archbishop Melchisedek of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania of the Orthodox Church in America, and His Grace Bishop Maxim of the Western American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church.    

Founder's Patron Saint-day of the Patriarchate of Pec

On the occasion of the celebration of the founder's Patron Saint-day, His Grace Bishop Jerotej of Toplica, Vicar of the Serbian Patriarch, visited the Pec Patriarchate Monastery (photo gallery).

On November 10, 2021, on the feast day of Saint Arsenije of Srem, Their Graces Bishops Teodosije of Raska and Prizren, Kiril of Buenos Aires and South America, and Jerotej of Toplica officiated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy.

Episcopal Visit to Seattle, Washington

On October 16-17, 2021, on the 17th Sunday after Pentecost, when our Church celebrates St. Stefan and Jelena (Stiljanovic), His Grace Bishop Maxim visited both Parishes in Seattle: The Holy Protection of the Theotokos in South Park and St. Sava Parish in Issaquah.

Patron Saint-day of the church of Saint Demetrius in New Belgrade

On November 8, 2021, on the feast of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius, His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch served the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the church dedicated to that benefactor of God in New Belgrade (photo gallery).

During the Holy Liturgy, with the concelebration of His Grace Bishop Jerotej of Toplica, and the clergy of the Archbishopric of Belgrade and Karlovci, His Holiness the Patriarch ordained deacon Zoran Nedic to the rank of priest.

Ordination in the church of the Holy Apostles in Topcider

His Holiness Porfirije, the Serbian Patriarch officiated the Holy Hierarchical Liturgy in the church of Holy Apostles of Peter and Paul in Topcider, on 7 November 2021 (phоto gallery).

The Patriarch was concelebrated by Their Graces Bishops Nikodim of Dalmatia and Jerotej of Toplica. After the Great Entrance, Patriarch Porfirije ordained reader Srboljub Ostojic to the rank of deacon.
