The Circle of Serbian Sisters the Most Holy Mother of God from Krtolе, Montenegro, responds to the needs of her fellow citizens in the age of the coronavirus and sews cotton masks for anyone who does not have any other form of protection. The Circle works in coordination with the Choir Miholjska Prevlaka, with the blessing of the parish priest Marko Obradovic.

The Circle of Serbian Sisters from Bar helps the most vulnerable

The Circle of Serbian Sisters St. John Vladimir of Bar,Montenegro, has not failed in its work even in these almost extraordinary circumstances. The action of collecting food aid and hygiene packages has been ongoing and will last throughout the current week. The sisters are pleading that all those who wish to help may bring their donations to the premises  of the Circle (a barrack next to the church) from 5pm to 6pm.

Karlovac Theological Seminary donated food to the Red Cross

Slightly less than a ton of soy products was donated by the Saint Arsenije Theological Seminary  to the Red Cross of Sremski Karlovci to prepare meals for the most vulnerable citizens.

Soybean product bags were shipped to the Red Cross Agency by members of the Orthodox Youth Community a week ago. According to the Principal of this  Orthodox  thological school, Archpriest Jovan Milanovic, the Seminary decided to donate food for the Public Cuisine, bearing in mind the upcoming Easter holidays, so this gesture is a gesture of love for our neighbours.

The Diocese of Zahumlje-Herzegovina gives  a donation to the Trebinje hospital

The Diocesan Steering Committee of the Diocese of Zahumlje-Herzegovina at the online session held on 26 March 2020 issued a decision authorizing a hospital in Trebinje, as the only infectious diseases hospital in Eastern Herzegovina, for the amount of KM 50.000  for the purchase of necessary medical equipment needed to combat the pandemic of COVID-19 disease caused by the coronavirus (Sars Cov 2). Also, a few days ago, the Monastery of Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God in Tvrdos donated €13.000 to the Trebinje Hospital for the purchase of one ventilator.

Arnaud Gouillon organized a new action to collect aid for soup kitchens

The charitable organization Solidarité Kosovo, founded by French humanitarian Arnaud Gouillon, has organized a new campaign to help Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. The funds provided are intended for national cuisines in Kosovo and Metohija, where more than two thousand people prepare and distribute meals every day. Gouillon posted on social media that 240 donations via paypal came from France and other countries, and that thousands of messages were sent in Serbia to number 1033!

Bishop Milutin of Valjevo, Serbia, reposed in the Lord

With great sorrow, and faith in resurrection to the Kingdom of Heaven, the Diocese of Valjevo publically announces that last evening, March 30th, 2020, their spiritual father, His Grace Bishop Milutin of Valjevo, reposed at the Dr Dragisa Misovic Hospital in Belgrade, following a short period of hospitalization brought on by the coronavirus.

May our Lord grant him the Kingdom of Heaven and eternal repose!
