His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana, Vicar Bishop to the Serbian Patriarch, performed the Holy Hierachal Liturgy at the Decani Monastery on 26 May 2013. Five priests concelebrated to the Bishop while His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren attended the service. About hundred believers, mostly children from Kosovsko Pomoravlje, were present at the Holy Liturgy.

A few separate audiences took place at the Serbian Patriarchate on 28 May 2013. His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej received Mr. Armando Varricchio, the Ambassador of Italy; Mr. Valentin Inzko, the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina; as well as Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, accompanied by Nuncio Orlando Antonini and Roman-Catholic Archbishop of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar.

His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, received the Most Venerable Archimandrite Metodije, abbot of the Hilandar monastery, accompanied by monk Nikanor and Mr. Milivoje Randzic, director of the Holy Monastery of Hilandar Foundation, at the Serbian Patriarchate on 27 May 2013. The Hilandar abbot also met with many bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church gathered at the session of the Holy Assembly of Bishops at the Serbian Patriarchate.

In Prizren on 24 May 2013 the Slava of the Seminary of Saints Cyril and Methodius was solemnly celebrated.

His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana, Vicar Bishop to the Serbian Patriarch, celebrated Hierarchal Divine Liturgy, while  His Grace Bishop Teodosije of Raska-Prizren and fourteen priests concelebrated. Professors and students of the Seminary, as well as a group of theologians from the Orthodox Church from Albania, sang responses.

Patriarch Irinej: Today, when final wish of His Majesty King Peter I has been fulfilled, that his descendents live in their country with their people, and to be buried at St. George Church in Oplenac, we truly believe that souls of Karadjordje, Prince Alexander, King Peter I and King Alexander I rejoyce today. Crown Prince Alexander II: This is not only a historic moment for Royal Family, but also for the whole Serbian nation and the State of Serbia. Prime Minister Ivica Dacic: There are many ideologies, but there is just one Serbia. President Tomislav Nikolic: We cannot have luxury of divisions and injustice any more.

His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia officiated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of Saint George in Oplenac on the occasion of the state funeral of the remains of King Peter, Queen Maria, Queen Alexandra and Prince Andrej on 26 May 2013.

The State funeral of Their Majesties King Peter II, Queen Alexandra, Queen Maria and His Royal Highness Prince Andrej is going to take place at Royal Mausoleum of St. George’s Church in Oplenac near Topola, on Sunday, May 26. 

On Friday, 24 May 2013, from 9 am to 10 am the Liturgy will be officiated at the Chapel of St. Andrew the First Called at the Royal Compound in Dedinje. 10 am to 10.15 am the Requiem, then motorcade starts from the Royal Compound. On 10.30 am, remains of Their Majesties and His Royal Highness arrive to the Cathedral Church of St. Michael the Archangel (“Saborna Crkva”) in downtown Belgrade. 10.30 am to 10.45 am the Requiem. From 11 am on – citizens paying respect.
