His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received on 19 June 2013 His Excellency Carolos Papoulias, the President of the Republic of Greece, who is in the official visit to the Republic of Serbia and President Mr. Tomislav Nikolic.

The Ascension of Jesus - the Patron Saint-day of the City of Belgrade and Ascension Church

The feast-day of the Serbian capital, Belgrade - the Ascension of the Lord was solemnly celebrated also this year. A joyful celebration of the feast day began with the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy, which was served by His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, in the church of the Ascension of the Lord, with the concelebration of Their Graces Bishops: Longin of New Gracanica-Midwestern America, Irinej of Australia-New Zealand, and Atanasije of Hvosno, as well as lots of clergy.

Aliqquipa Church Camp Visits Hermitage Parish

The annual church camp held at St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Aliquippa, Pennysylvania began their week-long camp on Monday, June 10, 2013. As this year's theme is Icons: Windows to Heaven the parish priest, V. Rev. Stavrophor Stevan Stepanov contacted V. Rev. Milovan Katanic at St. George Serbian Church in Hermitage, Pennsylvania to discuss a possible visit to the parish. The St. George parish began a fresco project a few years ago and Prota Stevan wanted to incorporate the visit into their church camp cirriculum.

Seminarians from Prizren visiting Russia

With the blessing of his Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia a group of students and teachers from the Serbian Prizren Theological Seminary in Kosovo and Metohija has been visiting Moscow since June 4. The group is headed by Bishop Theodosije of Raska-Prizren, the rector of the seminary and a member of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The Serbian guests have come to venerate Relics of the Russian Church and to familiarize themselves with Russian culture and history. Their visit has been organized by the Russian Orthodox Church within the framework of the aid program for the Serbian Church on the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.

Serbian Patriarch meets Konstantin Kosachev

Serbian Patriarch His Holiness Irinej met with Mr. Konstantin Kosachev, the head of the Federal Agency for the affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States, for the compatriots living abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation, at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade on 7 June 2013. Mr. Aleksander Vasilyevich Chepurin, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, also attended the meeting.
