Holy Hierarchal Liturgy and Jubilee in Brcko
4. October 2011 - 10:01Bishop Vasilije of Zvornik-Tuzla served on the feast day of St. Autonomos Holy Martyr, Odanija of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the church of the Ascension of the Most Holy Theotokos in Brcko.
His Grace was concelebrated by hierarchal deputy of Brcko protopresbyter-staurophor Slavko Maksimovic, protosyngellos Mihajlo (Tosic), protonamesniks Predrag Cirkovic and Vujadin Stanisic and protodeacon Zarko Mijatovic and Slavoljub Milosevic and deacon Velibor Simic.
Cross and bell consecrated on Misar
3. October 2011 - 12:31On the day of Odanija of Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, on September 25/12 2011, Bishop Lavrentije of Sabac with priests of vicarages of Pocerje and Sabac consecrated the cross and bell of the church on Misar.
Bishop Lavrentije greeted the gathered people with interesting sermon about the Cross and the significance of the Bell in our Holy Church.
Church slava in Celebici
3. October 2011 - 11:38On Sunday, September 25, in Celebici near Konjic, a church slava was celebrated and a restored church of the Nativity of the Mother of God was consecrated. The Holy Hierarchal Liturgy and the consecration of the church was served by Bishop Grigorije of Zahumlje, Herzegovina and the Littoral, with the concelebration of protopresbyter-staurophor Radivoje Krulj, presbyter Nebojsa Radic, presbyter Branimir Borovcanin, presbyter Milan Buzanin and deacon Vladimir Vukanovic.
A new mission parish
3. October 2011 - 11:30On Saturday September 24th on the holy day of the Venerable Theodora; Venerable Sergius and Germanus a great historic event happened for the Serbs of Charlottesville. His Grace Bishop Mitrophan with V. Rev. Dragan Zaric and Fr. Ljubisa Brnjos, held the first Divine Liturgy. With a big outcome of Serbs from Charlottesville and a large number of guests from Richmond, the Holy Liturgy was held in the Greek Orthodox Church in Charlottesville.
Kolo Sestara in Atlanta celebrates its Slava
3. October 2011 - 11:19On Sunday Sept 25, 2011 Kolo sisters from Atlanta celebrated their Krsna Slava. Following the Divine Liturgy together with many of the Kolo sisters and faithful parishioners fr. Miladin blessed the Slavski kolac and zito and welcomed on behalf of Kolo Sisters very special guests.
This years Atlanta Serbs had among themselves Millie Radovic who is the president of Kolo Savez and Millie Vignovic from Pittsburgh Pa. Honoured Kuma for this year was Pera Surla, and continuing the tradition next year’s kuma is Jelka Stanjevic who is a long standing member of the Kolo.
The First Century of the Vozdovac church
3. October 2011 - 10:07His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served yesterday the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy in the Vozdovac church of Sts. Emperor Constantine and Helen which most solemnly its centenary was celebrated (1911-2011).
