The ultimate goal of this combined program of International Orthodox Christian Charities-IOCC and with the blessings of His Grace Bishop Irinej, the Serbian Orthodox Church in Australia and New Zealand, is to contribute to the process of reconciliation and stabilization in Kosovo and Metohija, and to foster an environment that creates sustainable opportunities for improved livelihoods and economic development of the targeted areas. To achieve the program's ultimate goal, IOCC, Inc. will provide support and assistance to the Visoki Dečani and Patriarchate of Peć monasteries in Kosovo and Metohija.

Bishop Longin served a hierarchal Liturgy in the New Gracanica Monastery

On the day of Saint Nicholas, Bishop Longin served a hierarchal Liturgy in the New Gracanica Monastery along with a number of Serbian and Russian clergy. On that day, the Bishop ordained Nikolaj Kostur into the rank of a deacon. Nikolaj is a graduate of the Holy Trinity Seminary and of Saint Vladimir's Seminary.

The Consecration of the St. Herman Monastery Catholicon On November 21/December 4, 2009, the Feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple, the catholicon of the St. Herman of Alaska Serbian Orthodox Monastery in Platina, California, was consecrated by His Grace Bishop Mitrophan of the Eastern American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church and His Grace Bishop Maxim of the Western American Diocese.
