Bishop Irinej encourages Australian Government to support the Exchange Health and Pension Benefits Scheme with the Republic of Serbia 

On 2 October 2009, writing on behalf of the faithful of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Australia, His Grace Bishop Irinej encouraged Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and Foreign Minister Stephen Smith to support the implementation of the Social Agreement between the Commonwealth of Australia and the Republic of Serbia, as well as the Health Agreement between the two countries.

A special and solemn Divine Liturgy was served at the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey on Sunday, Septmeber 20, 2009 on the occasion of the feast day of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, the Krsna Slava of the Circle of Serbian Sisters of this parish. The liturgical joy was shared with many guests from Philadelphia, New York and Elizabeth, as well as Banja Luka, Republika Srpska.

Antique culture, European and Serbian heritage

On Friday, September 25 at the amphitheater of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology an international scientific symposium was opened " Antique culture, European and Serbian heritage" organized by the Society for antique studies, which president, professor Dr. Ksenija Maricki-Gadjanski organizes and runs this meeting. His Grace Bishop Dr. Irinej Bulovic of Bachka, a dean of the faculty, opened the symposion, and after that academician Dimitrije Stefanovic presented Carl Joachim Classen a Charter of Matica srpska and addressed the audience in Serbian and German.

Being concerned for orthodox Serbian people on the fifth continent, which is entrusted to us, and having a responsibility towards the God Himself and the Holy Church of Christ we are forced to issue a communiqué which is essential for all the orthodox Serbian people, whose spiritual and national being certain forces are trying to destroy.  Namely, certain information has come to us that the former Bishop Damaskin or Dushan Davidovic should arrive in Australia with a goal to be installed as the head of the non-canonical Greek old calendar diocese and three Serbian church-school communities which administrations had, illegally and by conducting a total autocracy, separated from the Serbian Orthodox Church.
