Serbian Patriarch concluded his visit to the Russian Orthodox Church

On November 23rd, 2016, the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, concluded his visit to Moscow, where he participated in the celebrations marking the 70th birthday of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

During the visit to the capital of Russia His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, with his delegation consisting of Bishop Irinej of Backa, Bishop Antonije of Moravica, Archimandrite Isihije and protodeacon Vladimir Rumenic, participated in the conciliar service of the Divine Liturgy and a solemn jubilee act at the Cathedral church of Christ the Saviour, and attended the solemn concert in the Hall of the Church Councils as well. Also, a meeting with His Holiness Patriarch Kirill was held.

At the airport Sheremetyevo His Holiness Patriarch Irinej and his delegation were escorted by the head of the Office for External Relations of the Patriarchate of Moscow Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, First Deputy Chancellor of the Moscow Patriarchate Bishop Savva of Voskresensk, Deputy Head of the Department of  External Church Relations archpriest Nikolay Balashov, secretary of this Department for inter-Orthodox relations archpriest Igor Jakimchuk, as well as official of the Department A.J. Hoshev. The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Serbia in the Russian Federation Dr. SlavenkoTerzic was present as well.
