The Serbian Patriarch in Coventry
His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Irinej arrived in the afternoon of October 6, 2018, in Coventry, one of the historic and cultural centers of Great Britain, where he was welcomed by His Grace Bishop of Coventry Christopher Cocksworth.
His Holiness the Patriarch is accompanied by are the His Eminence Porfirije, Metropolitan of Zagreb-Ljubljana; Their Graces Dositej of Britain-Scandinavia; Andrej of Austria-Switzerland, and Arsenije of Nis as well as the parish-piest Nenad Popovic from Birmingham Lazarica, protodeacon Damjan Bozic and Mr. Vladimir Jelic.
Patriarch Irinej is on an archpastoral visitation to the Serbian Britain-Scandinavian Diocese on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Church Community of Birmingham and the 50th anniversary of the consecration of the church of the Holy Prince Lazarus in Birmingham.
This jubilee will be marked by a triumphant Hierarchal Liturgy to be celebrated with several hierarchs and clergymen in Birmingham on the 7th October, 2018.
