The Serbian Patriarch Irinej payed a visitto the Parliament of Hungary on May 26, 2019.

His Holiness was met by State Secretary Sholtes Miklosh, who exposed to the Church dignitaries a brief history of the magnificent building as well as history of the Hungarian people in general. The reception was attended by Bishops: Lukian of Buda (Hungary), Kiril of South America, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia Ivan Todorov, a Serbian representative in the Parliament Ljubomir Aleksov.

In conversation with Hungarian state officials His Holiness Patriarch once again expressed his gratitude for everything that Hungary had done and still was doing to the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian people in Hungary.
