Serbian Patriarch Irinej arrived to New York

After the visit to Washington, His Holiness Irinej arrived to New York, on 3 March 2020.

Out of great concern for the restoration of St. Sava Cathedral in New York and sharing pain with believers, the Serbian Patriarch Irinej headed to the construction site early in the morning. His feelings were mixed. It is a joy to see the progress on reconstruction, but also the sorrow over the ordeal that has befallen the Serbian Saint Sava Community and the parish in New York.

Patriarch Irinej and Bishop Jovan of Sumadia were greeted by the competent Bishop Irinej of East America with the protopresbyter-staurophor Zivojin Jakovljevic, dean of the church, members of the Church Commission and architect Don Zivkovic.
