Serbian Patriarch Irinej celebrated its Patron Saint's Day
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch served today on the Annunciation of the Lord and Lazarus Saturday, the Divine Liturgy in Belgrade's Cathedral Church. On today's feast day of Lazarus Saturday is also the Patron Saint's Day of His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, so today's Liturgical gathering was especially solemn.
His Holiness Serbian Patriarch was concelebrated by His Grace Bishop Lavrentije of Sabac, His Grace Bishop Andrej of Remesiana, protopresbyter-staurophors Savo Jovic, Stojadin Pavlovic, Vladimir Vukasinovic, Petar Lukic, Radic Radicevic and Sreten Andjelic, presbyters Luka Novakovic, Slavisa Popovic and Srdjan Simic, protodeacons Pribislav Simic, Radomir Percevic, Stevan Rapajic, Damjan Bozic, as well as deacon Nikola Jancic.
The First Belgrade Singing Society enhanced with its prayerful chanting the celebration of the feast day.
Following the Divine Liturgy, in the Serbian Patriarchate in the presence of the host Serbian Patriarch Irinej and many guests, His Grace Bishop Lavrentije of Sabac cut the slava cake wishing His Holiness good health and spititual strength at the helm of our Holy Church.
