Serbian Patriarch Irinej in the Metropolitanate of Dabar-Bosna
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, came yesterday, on 14 September 2013, in two-day visit to the Metropolitanate of Dabar-Bosna where he served today, on 15 September 2013, the Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the ministry as a priest and the 40th anniversary of the ministry as a bishop of His Eminence Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabar-Bosna
The Patriarch was welcomed at the Cathedral Church where the doxology in his honour was served by Metropolitan Nikolaj of Dabar-Bosna, Bishop Lukijan of Osek-Polje, priests and monks of the Metropolitanate of Dabar-Bosna. Many believers from Sarajevo, East Sarajevo, Pale, Sokolac and other places from Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia attended the service.
Metropolitan Nikolaj welcomed Patriarch Irinej expressing his joy since the Patriarch came along with him and the clergy to celebrate 40 years of his ministry as a bishop. The Metropolitan reminded that since his chirotony was in September 1973, he did his best to work on preaching and spreading the Gospel of Christ.
Patriarch Irinej pointed out that this jubilee which Metropolitan Nikolaj celebrated was not only his but also of the Metropolitanate of Dabar-Bosna and the whole Serbian Orthodox Church.
