Serbian Patriarch Irinej received high guests from the Roman Catholic Church
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch received today in the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade cardinal Vinko Puljic, the archbishop of Vrh Bosna, and monsignor Vincenzo Paglia, Bishop of the diocese of Tarni-Narni-Amelia (Italy), accompanied also by professor Alberto Quatrucci from Rome. The reception was attended by Their Graces Bishops - Irinej of Backa, the member of the Holy Synod of Bishops, Andrej of Remesiana, Vicar of the Serbian Patriarch.
In an cordial conversation guests informed His Holiness Irinej with an initiative to organize a peace meeting in Sarajevo under the patronage of the Community of Sant'Egidio. On this occasion they discussed on a participation of the Serbian Orthodox Church at this meeting which will be held from September 9-11, 2012 in Sarajevo, and also about the participation of other Orthodox Churches, the Roman Catholic Church and the Churches of Reformation from all Europe.
