Serbian Patriarch IRINEJ served in St. Jovan Vladimir in Belgrade
His Holiness IRINEJ, Archbishop of Pec, Metropolitan of Belgrade-Karlovci and Serbian Patriarch served this morning, in the first week of the Apostolic Lent, the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy in the St. Jovan Vladimir church in Belgrade. His Holiness was concelebrated by protopresbyter-staurophor Risto Peric, presbyter Dragan Sovljanski - head of the church, protodeacons Tomislav Milanovic and Stevan Rapajic and deacon Dragan Tanasijevic.
During the Holy Liturgy Patriarch IRINEJ gave the communion to lots of children and believers, and in the suitable sermon reminded the people on the significance of the lent for the salvation and the great part of Holy King Jovan Vladimir in the Serbian history.
After the Holy Liturgy, the head of the church father Dragan informed His Holiness about the history of the church and its young community.
An inevitable topic during the luncheon of love, prepared in an honour of coming of His Holiness, was a pigrimage of priests and believers of this church to Albania, to worship the relics of St. Jovan Vladimir in Tirana in October of the last year. Father Dragan told His Holiness travel impressions and emphasized the great influence of the relics of Holy King in the Albanian Orthodox Church.
