Serbian Patriarch Irinej visited Diocese of Sumadija
His Holiness Irinej, Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, visited the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God in Kragujevac on August 13, 2020.
The faithful people and the clergy of the city of Kragujevac, with their hierarch, His Grace Bishop Jovan of Sumadija, warmly greeted the Head of the Serbian Church. His Holiness the Patriarch thanked for the wonderful welcome and gave his archpastoral blessing to the clergy and the faithful people of the city of Kragujevac.
In honor of the visit of His Holiness, Bishop Jovan organized a reception and a lunch in the Diocesan residence, which was attended, among others, by the Director of the Office for Cooperation with Churches and Religious Communities, Dr. Mileta Radojevic, and the Deputy President of the Diocesan Board of the Diocese of Sumadija, Mr. Radisa Pljakic.
Accompanied by Bishop Jovan, Patriarch Irinej visited his native village of Vidovo, where he inspected construction works on the church that is being built there.
