Serbian Patriarch receives Ambassador of Belarus

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Valery Brilev, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Serbia at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade, on 15 April 2021.

The cordial conversation between Patriarch Porfirije and Ambassador Brilev emphasized the importance of maintaining fraternal relations between Serbs and Belarusians, which have always been decorated with examples of mutual understanding, respect, and solidarity.

The Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church assured the Belarusian ambassador that the Serbian people will always remember the support provided by Belarus in the most difficult moments.

Ambassador Briljov emphasized that he was happy that the Serbian Orthodox Church had a great love for his country and pointed out that he was firmly committed to the development and strengthening of Belarusian-Serbian relations at all levels.

The audience was attended by the head of the Office of the Serbian Patriarch, deacon Dr. Aleksandar Prascevic.
