Serbian Patriarch receives Serbian Ambassador to the Vatican

His Holiness Porfirije, Serbian Patriarch received His Excellency Dr. Simo Avramovic, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Holy See at the Patriarchal court in Belgrade, on April 2, 2021,

In a friendly and cordial conversation, His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije and Ambassador Dr. Avramovic agreed that fostering cooperation with the Holy See and Pope Francis, whose relationship with the Serbian Orthodox Church is characterized by a spirit of respect and cooperation, is of special importance.

Patriarch Porfirije wished Ambassador Dr. Avramovic success in an important diplomatic mission in Vatican, emphasizing his personal gratitude that the Holy See did not recognize self-proclaimed Kosovo.

The Serbian Patriarch used the opportunity to express his gratitude to Dr. Avramovic for the professional help that he, as one of the most prominent Serbian lawyers, has provided to his Church in recent decades.

The reception was attended by the head of the Cabinet of the Serbian Patriarch, Deacon Dr. Aleksandar Prascevic.
