The Serbian Prime Minister received by the Serbian Patriarch
His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej received Mr. Aleksandar Vucic, Prime Minister and President electus of the Republic of Serbia on 17 April 2017 at the Serbian Patriarchate in Belgrade. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Mr. Nikola Selakovic.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Aleksandar Vucic congratulated the most joyous Christian Feast of feasts, the glorious Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the Primate of the Serbian Orthodox Church and expressed his gratitude for the warm and friendly reception during which they discussed various aspects of the life of people in Serbia and some topics of general interest.
On his side, Serbian Patriarch Irenej expressed deep gratitude to the Prime Minister for the best wishes on the occasion of the Paschal Feast and emphasized that every effort for the benevolence of the people was worth while, citing as an example the reconstruction of the country in general and of the capital city of Belgrade which begins to radiate in comparison to the previous period. His Holiness thanked the Prime Minister for the visit, wishing him abundant divine blessings from the Resurrected Lord and a full success in his future assignment.
