Serbian State leadership received in audience by the Serbian Patriarch
His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej received Mr. AleksandarVucic, President of the Republic of Serbia; Mrs. Ana Brnabic, President of the Government of the Republic of Serbia; Mr. Ivica Dacic, First Vice President of the Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as Mr. Nikola Selakovic, Secretary General of the President of the Republic of Serbia. The reception took place at the Serbian Patriarchate on 10 March 2019.
On the Church side, the conversations were attended by members of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church: Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana and Bishops Irinej of Backa, Jovan of Sumadija and Milutin of Valjevo.
President Vucic informed the Serbian Patriarch and the members of the Holy Synod with the contents of the so-called platform which was adopted by Kosovo Albanians, containing dangerous consequences not only for the continuation of the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina, but, moreover, for the Serbian people on Kosovo and Metohija, as well as with the current difficult situation in this Southern Serbian province. President Vucic thanked the Patriarch and the hierarchs for sharing concerns and responsibilities with the state leadership.
