Assembly of the Serbian Diaspora and of the Serbs from the region
His Holiness Irinej, Serbian Patriarch, attended the solemn session of the Assembly of the Diaspora and the Serbs from the region on 5th July 2013.
Besides the Serbian Patriarch, the delegates from abroad and the region were addressed also by the President of the National Assembly Mr. Nebojsa Stefanovic and director of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and the Serbs in the region Mrs. Slavka Draskovic. Protopresbyter-stavrophor Savo B. Jovic, general secretary of the Holy Synod of Bishops, accompanied His Holiness.
In the draft agenda of the Third session of the Assembly of the Diaspora and of the Serbs in the region there were: election of the president and vice president, adoption of the new Statutes and reconstruction of permanent working bodies - the Council, in order to establish the efficiency of the Assembly of the Serbian Diaspora and the Serbs in the region. The Assembly of the Diaspora and the Serbs in the region is the highest representative body of the Diaspora and of the Serbs in the region, which was constituted on 3 July 2010.
