Besides doctors, hospital staff and patients, the service also was attended by other believers. The Bishop cut the slava cake with doctors of the MMA and benefactors of the chapel.

The chapel is devoted to the great hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, St. Luke Arcbishop of Simpheropol and Crimea, the professor of the University and doctor, who was canonized at the end of the last century as a confessor of the faith. The icon with the particle of his relics was given as a gift by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and it was given to the chapel, on behalf of the Patriarch, by His Grace Bishop Antonije of Moravica on June 11, 2009. Since Lazarus Saturday 2009, two priests serve the Holy Liturgy every Saturday, Sunday and on feast days, visit patients and medical staff within the hospital.
