Slava of the Sacred Monastery of Holy Archangel Michael in Kovilj

On Friday, 20 November 2015, in the late afternoon, a solemn celebration of the patron of Holy monastery of Kovilj, the Holy Archangel Michael and all the Bodiless Powers of Heaven, began with the Great Vesper service in the monastery chapel of Venerable Fathers of Mount Athos.

Hieromonk Dionisije of the Kovilj Monastery served the Vesper service with the concelebration of deacons from Novi Sad – Veljko Vasiljev and Zoran Malesevic. His Eminence, Metropolitan Dr. Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana conducted the monastic choir at the right chanters’ apse. The vesper service was attended by Their Graces Bishop Dr. Irinej of Backa and Bishop Jeronim of Jegar.

On the feast-day of Holy Archangel Michael, 21 November 2015, His Eminence Metropolitan Porfirije of Zagreb-Ljubljana officiated the Divine Liturgy with the concelebration of Their Graces Bishops Dr. Irinej of Backa and Bishop Jeronim of Jegar, as well as of many monks, presbyters, deacons.
