On the feast day of Saint Sava, the first Archbishop of Serbia, on 27 January 2017, His Grace Bishop Joanikije of Budimlje-Niksic and Administrator of Mileseva, on the occasion of the patron's saint day of Mileseva Monastery, celebrated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy.

The Bishop was concelebrated by the clergy and the monks of the Dioceses of Mileseva and Budimlje-Niksic. After the sermon, Bishop Joanikije blessed and cut the slava cake.

On Sunday, 32nd after the Pentecost, on the feast day of the memory of the Precious Chains of Holy Apostle Paul, on 29 January 2017, His Grace Bishop Sergije of Frankfurt and All Germany, led an Eucharistic gathering at the Cathedral church of the Resurrection of Christ in Frankfurt.

The Bishop was concelebrated by protopresbyters Stojan Barjaktarevic and Simon Turkic, presbyter Miloran Marjanovic and deacon Aleksandar Sekulic.

The solemnity took place in the Solemn Hall of the Military High School (Gymansium), where the rite of blessing Patron’s cake and wheat was performed by archpriest Ilija Smigic, Principal of the church of Holy Gabriel (declared by the Serbian Patriarch as a church serving for students of this secondary school as well) and by Priest, sub­-lieutenant Slavnko Papic, catechist in this school, in presence of Fr Nemanja Petrovic, military priest at the Military Academy and archdeacon Radomir Rakic, head-in-chief editor of the Information Service of the Serbian Patriarchate.Captain Marko Marjanovic and Mrs. Desanka Spasojevic were patrons of this solemnity.

The Saint Sava Academy was attended by Serbian Patriarch Irinej, representatives of the Belgrade University and Catholic Faculties of Theology from Ljubljana and Zagreb.

The Feast-day of Saint Sava, the first Serbian Archbishop, was celebrated prayerfully in the chapel of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Belgrade on 27 January 2017, with the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy headed  by His Grace Bishop Antonije of Toplica.
