In Honour and Glory of Tsar Nicholas II the Passion-Bearer
19. November 2014 - 10:03Following the liturgical gathering in the church of Saint Sava, President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić unveiled the monument to Tsar Nicholas II Romanov.
On 16 November 2014, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia conducted the rite of blessing of a monument dedicated to the Holy Tsar Nicholas, in the presence of His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia. Having performed the liturgical rite and having sprinkled the monument with consecrated water, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill addressed a multitude of people present with a brief homily, saying in particular:

November 2014 - 11:29The clergy, monastics and the faithful of Central Indiana, including teachers and students of the Hagia Sophia Classical Academy, celebrated today Divine Liturgy together at Saint Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Indianapolis, as they do every year on the feast day of their patron and the first and only Orthodox Christian saint born in Indiana – Saint Varnava (Barnabas) of Hvostno and Gary. This year, the feast carried a special joy and solemnity for the triple anniversary of the saint: 100 years of his birth, 50 years of his repose and 10 years of his canonization. In addition, an icon of Saint Varnava was blessed to be presented to the Governor of Indiana by the Presbyters’ Council of the Orthodox Christian Churches of Central Indiana. Carmichaels Celebrates 60th Anniversary
20. November 2014 - 10:19The Sixtieth Anniversary of the consecration of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Carmichaels, Pennsylvania was celebrated on Sunday, November 2, 2014. The Divine Liturgy was held at the church and was followed by a banquet at Dolfi’s Restaurant.
Living and departed parishioners were remembered during the Divine Liturgy.
The St. George Choir under the direction of Sonia Janson sang the responses. Paulette Radock read the Third and Sixth Hours prior to the Divine Liturgy.
The Divine Liturgy was very well attended. In addition to St. George parishioners, visitors came from out of town and from a number of different parishes.
Kolo Slava at St Simeon Orthodox Church

On Sunday, October 26, 2014, the Kolo of Serbian Sisters of Princess Milica of St Simeon's Parish of North Miami, Florida celebrated their Krsna Slava of our Holy Mother and Saint Paraskeva (Sveta Petka) and observed their 35th Anniversary. Many church members gathered for the Holy Divine Liturgy at 10:00 celebrated by the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Svetozar Veselinovich, pastor, and responses sung by our Church Choir. Following the Divine Liturgy Father Svetozar led the Parish and the Member of the Kolo in the Traditional Slava Service and cutting of the Kolach as all of the members of the Kolo led by Kuma, Goranka Arsic with family, came forward and shared in the service....which was followed by a Parastas for all of the deceased members of the kolo.
Prayerful gathering in memory of 100th anniversary of the Battle of Kolubara
20. November 2014 - 10:13On Monday, 4th November 2014 His Grace Bishop Arsenije of Toplica officiated the solemn Liturgy in honour of the 100th anniversary of the famous Battle of Kolubara.
The Bishop was concelebrated by protopresbyter-stavrophor Dr. Dragomir Sando, chairman of the Committee for religious education of the Archbishopric of Belgrade-Karlovac; five military chaplains, serving in military units in the territory of Belgrade, and two deacons. More than hundred army members, led by Chief of the Staff General LjubisaDikovic, participated in the Liturgy. Bishop Arsenije served the panichida for all the warriors fallen in the First World War, especially for the famous Field Marshal ZivojinMisic and the fighters of the Battle of Kolubara.
