The St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Hermitage, Pennsylvania celebrated their Church Slava on second Sunday of Pascha, May 12, 2013, the Sunday of Thomas. His Grace Bishop Mitrophan of Eastern America offiiciated at the Divine Liturgy assisted by local clergy, V. Rev. Milovan Katanic. Joining the liturgical celebration was Fr. David Mastroberte of the neighboring St. John's Carpatho-Russian Church who, with the blessings of the bishop, took part in the festive Slava Litiya.

During the 2013 season of Great Lent, young students of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Steelton, PA,  prepared for their First Holy Confession.

A special vesper service was scheduled on the Eve of St. Lazarus and the children listened as our spiritual leader, Very Reverend Stavrofor Father Srboljub Jockovic discussed the importance of repentance through the parables of Zacchaeus the Tax Collector, the Publican & the Pharisee and the Prodigal Son.

His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Kyr Irinej on Great and Holy Friday, served the Vesper service at Belgrade's Cathedral Church of St. Archangel Michael. According to the tradition, during the Vesper service the Shroud is being carried out and placed in the middle of the church. It remains there until the Resurrectional services for the faithful to venerate. The Shroud represents the Tomb of Christ, thus the services and customs during these Great and Holy days are filled with emotions and symbols.

His Grace Bishop Maxim of Western America paid his second canonical visit to the Orthodox faithful in the capital of Mexico from 8-12 May 2013. Protopresbyter Blasko Paraklis accompanied His Grace. During this visit their guide was Avram, who is son of an Orthodox Mexican and graduated student of the Orthodox Academy of Saint Tichon in the United States. According to the decision of the Holy Assembly of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church this state was placed under the jurisdiction of Bishop of Western America.

Raising of the Dome and Bell on the New Church in Orlando

Saturday, May 11, 2013 was a day to remember for the faithful of the St. Petka Church in Orlando, Florida. Exactly two years after construction on the new church began many Orthodox faithful from Central Florida and other areas gathered to attend the liturgy and the blessing and raising of the main dome and cross for the new church. The Divine Liturgy was served by a number of local Orthodox clergy. Officiating was V. Rev. Stefan Zaremba, the Dean of the St. Petersburg Deanery for the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Eastern America.
